Awake To Know Africa 10th Anniversary Celebration: “The Power of Imagination on Stress”

To celebrate 10 years of raising awareness of diversity through African culture, Awake to Know Africa is delighted to announce our Dinner Dance to take place at the Fishermead Trinity Centre on Saturday 14 July.
We warmly invite everyone to come and help us celebrate and to enjoy a packed evening of entertainment including dancing, live music, African drumming and traditional story telling.
We will be serving up a delicious, traditional African hot buffet dinner, with a great choice of food for everyone.
We will get to hear some special guest speakers, including:
– Ms Josephie Akyea, Registered Mental Health Nurse
– Dr David Osei, Forensic Mental Health Nurse
– Patricia Aning, CEO of EDU MK
– Ken O’Shea-Poon, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
– Yaw Asiyama, Writer/Director, Yaw’s House Productions
We will also have a large supervised children’s entertainment room so parents and guardians can enjoy the evening without worry about the little ones.
And we will have a raffle with lots of great prizes. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please contact us. Thank you for your generousity.
Tickets for this event are very reasonably priced to make this event affordable for everyone, as follows:
– £15 single adult ticket
– £25 pair of adult tickets
– £5 for each child
Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Awake To Know Africa website.
All proceeds from this event will jointly support Awake To Know Africa’s charitable work with children and young people and Cancer Research UK.
